Revising Book on Disorders of the Mind

BENEDICT CAREY, "Revising Book on Disorders of the Mind" New York Times February 10, 2010

Today's illustration is a bit different. Heather and I are excited to role out a brand new technology and service at ImageThink. Soon we will be able to turn ideas into pictures virtually with virtual graphic recording.

Instead of working with markers and large mural paper, we can synthesize ideas into visuals using a digital pen and software. We have been testing out different devices. Today I used a Wacom Cintiq,  a large monitor that allows you to draw directly on the screen with a plastic pen. Line By Line is giving us a chance to get some practice.

The first revision in 10 years to the definitive encyclopedia of psychiatric disorders has large implications for psychology, legal, research, and pharmaceutical marketing.
