We are excited to see Harvard Business Review publish an article on graphic facilitation "Vision Statement: Tired of PowerPoint? Try This Instead"
The article discusses the increasing prominence of of graphic facilitation in business meetings as a solution to "powerpoint fatigue." Professor Martin Eppler of University of Galen Switzerland sites the real-time, collaborative nature of a graphic record of a group's discussion as the reason that attendees of meetings supported by graphic facilitators have increased recall.
Attendees of meetings supported by graphic facilitators have increased recall. Professor Martin Eppler of University of Galen Switzerland believes it is the real-time, collaborative nature of the resulting visual of a group's discussion that increases investment and retention.
He characterizes Powerpoint as a passive mode of information, which is authored by one person prior to the meeting.
The excellent illustrations are by Stephanie Crowley, a fellow graphic facilitator in the field.
